Home Town

So I did it!  I wanted to paint another geometric town with lots of color and tiny houses on a larger canvas and I did it! This one took a lot longer than the first (Colour Town) but it was just as fun and happy making.:)

While I painted I listened to Kazuo Ishiguro's Nocturnes, five stories of music and nightfall. This is my second encounter with Ishiguro's work and I am still impressed and kind of in love. He has a way of making everyday scenarios suspenseful and deep and interesting. On top of Ishiguro being a great writer Mark Bramhall reads two of the five stories in Nocturne. He's one of my favorite audio book readers with a dusty, old cowboy sorta voice maybe an octave up from Johnny Cash. When it comes to audio, even well written books can be loathsome when paired with an unbearable voice. So yes, Ishiguro + Bramhall made for a perfect combination!:)

Thank you so much for visiting my blog!
