Making Art 3

Created with flickr slideshow.

In the making of this ACEO art card (2.5"x3.5")I first used a sakura souffle pen that went on the black paper green but then dried white. Than I used my tiny paint brush and did most of the rest in acrylic paint, although a few spots where colored in with a metallic gel pen. Thanks for stopping by! Hope you enjoy! :)

  1. Hi, came by after I saw your question on the forum. I've always encouraged a photographer friend of mine to talk about the background details of his work on his blog, and I'm glad to see you're doing this on yours. It's so fascinating to get inside an artist's head and watch art unfold, and the next best thing to being there is seeing it on your blog. It makes the piece that much more relatable when we know more about you as an artist.

Don't worry about the risk of being copied—vision is what distinguishes an artist from a crafter. One can post tutorials on technique, and I heart a lot of handmade clothing myself as an idea prompt, but we each turn out unique work because each piece speaks to us about what it wants to become. Just my two cents ; )
